Lily Raynaud
ferry poem #2
PoetryLily Raynaud
Nothing on this April Fish day but the wish to be taken by the flood-tide
imagining not a nautical wasteland below
but the mysterious reflection of the silver city, in it, me!
spring days tend to send me into a state – I
am always thinking of the hyphen from each spring to the next as I see
burgeoning white buds and of course am always thinking of you
& Trees and girls and city sidewalks unfurl face
up toward the miracle of light, to
surrender to the world, to its shining green face!
Lili Raynaud is an undergrad at NYU studying Journalism, Politics and Creative Writing. She enjoys crosswords, long walks, and finding the best Asian food in the city. She is slowly making her way through In Search of Lost Time, and trying to care less about her Goodreads stats. She tends to write poetry about the same thing over and over again. Her work can be found in Same Faces Collective, Meuf Magazine, The Weasel (!), and elsewhere.
